We're Making It Official!

Our Wedding

One day, while the world was shut down because of Covid, two people with completely separate lives ended up on a first date in the backroads of Mill Valley…We had matched online about a week earlier.  Covid dating rules in 2020 were pretty simple: pick one person and hope for the best.  Amidst all that craziness, a skateboard-riding, sauce-selling burner and a retired jetsetting, rock band keyboardist had their worlds collide in a meeting that would’ve never happened were it not for online dating.  Sitting outside on a beautiful day at Hook Fish, we quickly realized this was a relationship worth pursuing. Later, we discovered we’re both Geminis, with our birthdays just two days apart — and somehow it all made sense.  Rob came with a son.  Linda came with a daughter.  Our lives already revolved around our kids, and now, around each other too.  Both of us gave each other what we needed and filled in the missing pieces. Authenticity, the ability to trust eachother, openness and stability.  Together, it felt easy in the ways that matter most.  We also both love our families, our friends …and dogs— a lot — but the thing we love most is our kids. Priorities were already set.  Looking back, it’s pretty wild how two completely separate worlds collided and became one. We can’t wait to bring together all the people we love to celebrate the official joining of our hearts, our families, and our lives.

Carneros Resort is located around 1 hour from San Francisco International and Oakland International Airports and less than 1 hour from downtown San Francisco. <a href="https://www.carnerosresort.com/" rel="noopener" target="_blank">https://www.carnerosresort.com/</a> No designated driver? Spend the night in Napa or downtown Sonoma! Keep in mind that many of the hotels will have a two night minimum. Great opportunity to spend some time in downtown Sonoma or Napa or go wine tasting! We did try to hold a block at any of the area hotels, and unfortunately, they were not cooperative in letting me hold rooms unless we guaranteed payment for all of them. Our apologies that there is no official wedding block. We would try to book early and then you can always check the rates as you get closer (as long as your reservation cancellation clause is flexible). You could also rent an Airbnb or VRBO and find people to room with! Happy to recommend people that may be interested in sharing as we get closer to the date! Novato, CA in Marin County (30 minute drive) and American Canyon ( 20 minute drive) are also possible and may be less pricey. Here are some possible convenient hotel options (not necessarily endorsements)- but there are definitely a lot of choices within a 20-30 minute drive of Carneros Resort. Also, I hear Uber is available in Napa, however it can sometimes be difficult to get one late at night.
